Day 04: Whats Happening.

Hello all again its been a while. I though i do a update on whats been happening since my last update.

Im Now finished my probation for being on permeant Fulltime at work, its a awesome place to work everyone is friendly and helpfully and everyday is great sure the work hard and can be stressful but at the end of the day i always have a laugh and have a great feeling I’m doing my best, evening helping out people which is a great feeling. I hope to be a even better assets to the company in the future. I can’t wait.

Hmm so what else is new i know LEGO. This year is already and will continue to be awesome for lego fans.

it was a great year with Tower Bridge Finally in my hands and sit on my desk area in my room looking awesome one of my top 5 sets of all time.

Next is the kingdoms Joust which arrived just before Australia Day again another fantastic set with loads of details.

Lastly is the new city sets. Now i was very on the fence but once i got a few of the sets my opinion quickly change. Apart from the new location just the general build and design are top notice, the new cars are fantastic design and use a lot of studs not on top technics.

Day 03: 2011 ending 2012 a new year.

Well its that time of the year where 2011 is wrapping up and 2012 is very close indeed. looking back this years has been the best and worst year i have ever had in my adult hood. getting rid of the bad first, losing job (getting screwed over) losing focus of who i was and where i wanted to go. just drifting around like a lost sheep. The good getting back on track with my future spending the 1 year with my true love Kirstie. Getting in my books my dream job being a computer technician with a fantastic and open company, starting to save for my house, buying the things i want again, New Macbook Pro, LEGO of course, Bluray/Bluray Player and much more.

Other area that made 2011 one great year in the things i like are.

Lego
Star Wars sets – finally getting my hands on my own millennium falcon, my first UCS set jedi star fighter.
Alien Conquest – Old school alien invasion at its best.
Kingdoms -new sets
Spongebob – new sets
City – Police and Fire awesome sets
Pharaohs Quest- the mummy meets indian jones mixed with old adventures series.

Gaming
Portal 2
The Witcher 2 – OMG its so good.
Battlefield 3 – about time.
Rayman Origins

Now i love Trailers there is just something so cool about them and just seeing new things every time i watch them below is prob the best trailers/videos i have seen this year.

Why i Love Lego.

Do you know someone who love’s Lego? well i am one of them.

Lego danish word for lets play is a construction toy which has a large following young and old and expands into many different themes sets and age groups.

My Lego Obsession began when i was around 2 years old when i saw my older brother playing with classic town sets. I just loved the idea that i could pull the pieces apart and put them back how ever i wanted, when i was old enough i received my first Duplo set, although this stage didn’t last long i was onto the more complex and better System Lego sets which you see in most stores.

Many of my set where based on Town and Pirates. after a few years lego slowly to a back step in my life but when i turned 15 the interest began to spark again. although i wasn’t exploring the new sets i was building MOCs (My Own Creations) from my old lego bricks. Now that i am in my mid 20′s the discovery of more advanced and visually stunning sets has turned my love for lego into over drive.

So don’t be afraid of us! we a the most nicest group of people. creative, smart people around. So if you see a small lego set that takes your fancy dont be afraid pick it up and take it home and build away you will be surprised at any age lego is fun and puts the little feel inside of joy and happiness.

Rayman Origins. He’s Back Finally!

Oh Rayman how much i missed your games before you went down the wacky rabbit hole of no return but your back with no rabbits as your true self 2d platforming. Sooo.. WHO? well most people know of mario/zelda. well Rayman the guy in the corner that people look over and go who is that maybe i should talk to him. even though Rayman wasn’t on the scene till 1999 he left a very strong impression for people who play pc games and the newest game is really doing the same on current consoles.

So lets talk about Rayman Origins.

Right… well? what are you doing here go out and get it. I don’t normal say that about games as i get pretty deep into why a game is worth your money blah blah, the truth of it Rayman Origins is the one of BEST games i have ever played.

Controls are smack on perfect for Rayman which is a rhythmic type of control (hint: listen to the Background Music). Music is another strong suit keeps the craziness going that is Rayman but doesn’t over power the visuals which are beautiful. check it out below.

Hand drawn at its finest. If you are thinking about getting Rayman and you can get your hands on it go for the Collectors Edition. Although a bit more expensive it comes in a wicked box with a art book and the awesome soundtrack.

Rayman Origins is a Hard game but its one game that even though you die you just want to keep on play oh and be aware of the you can’t catch me levels are a very addictive. as its all about speed.

Day 02: The Future and Beyond.

So lots of things have happen over the last months. Disappointment, Excitement, Anticipation, Love, Hatred. So lots of emotions in the pot. A few things i will go into a few things i won’t as they are not great blog material.

After a long few months i finally FINALLY got a new job. as a Computer Technician, which is the field of work i wanted so this is a great foot in the door opportunity job ranges from Pokie Machine Installs, Point of Sale Systems, and Computer Hardware. Adelugs finished of the year very strong with a new member coming on board. Kirstie and I had a first year anniversary in Novemeber which is the first of many more to come, bring on 2 years . more recently i brought a few lego sets order one for xmas, booked my flights finally to the UK to see my older brother, Gone Blu-ray mad and just general madness. so yeah thats life over the last couple of months.

I hope you all like the new layout. ill try and post more material as it comes.

Day 01: Discovering New Things.

Day one of how many days i can keep this up for. so today was very average at best till about 8.30pm but before i go into that ill start from the beginning. Now at the moment i am only doing Freelance work sure the idea for working for your self is great let me tell you this ITS NOT, the fact unless you have a very smooth income of clients the rate you get paid and dealing with shit can become very stressful and depressing at the same time. So for a while i want to get out of what im doing and move into more computer technician focus. One job i have applied for as been such a up and down drama i fell like throwing a phone book out the window, one day is yes we know when then the next is no we don’t know times that by 2 months then another 2 weeks it can become very frustrating all i want it a full-time job with a good company. Hopefully it sorts it shit out by the end of the week.
In other news. I created a Facebook event for a friday night catch up for anyone who wants to have some awesome british/indian food at you guessed it British India. Now me and Kirstie have been there twice now first time was in the dinning side and the second time in the Thali Room which is like a bar/ food section. Food is awesome service is well yeah i wont go there. They also make some awesome drinks and the decor is freaking awesome even more so in the Thali room. ( www.britishindia.net.au ) and the facebook event ( British Indian Dinner ). Might Plan to start doing foody place reviews if Kirstie allows me to take pictures of her food.

Back to the 8.30pm bit. As most people know i love Chicane. So when i came across this song which i never have listen to now i was blow away i have it on repeat and loving it.

Hope you brought extra underwear its going to be wild. So why should you read my blog? Well for starters is very rubbishy written so thats all interesting when you come across a paragraph that makes no sense at all. Im James R E Woods who wouldnt want to read the stories of me. Nah i joke, i guess this is a great way of putting my thoughts down on paper (computer screen), i tend not to talk about my days and whats happening around me, so having my own blog would be a great way of just writing random rubbish.
